IRC User Levels
User Levels
AbleNET Channel Services supports a variety of User Levels to allow channel owners and moderators to assign varying levels of access to their channel users without excluding members of their community entirely from channel controls, toys and functions.Owner
Owner is the highest level of access to a channel. It is the symbolic representation for numeric level 500.When a channel is registered to a user, that user is granted owner access; he/she can then add other users at levels 499 or lower. AbleNET network policy states that a channel should have no more than one (1) owner. The co-owner level is useful for those people that would otherwise desire more than one owner.
Co-owner
Co-owner is the second highest level of access to a channel. It is the symbolic representation for numeric level 400. When using this level in an X command, omit the hyphen (coowner). This level is useful for those people that desire to have more than one owner in a channel, which is prohibited by AbleNET policy.
